Position: CNR SSC Peer Mentor (multiple positions available)
Compensation: $12.00/hour
Department Description:
The College of Natural Resources (CNR) Student Success Center (SSC) is the place to go for student inquiries. The SSC offers confidential advising and related services to help students choose and achieve their academic and career goals. It also promotes exceptional classroom performance and out-of-class preparation. The SSC is staffed by Professional Advisors and Peer Mentors who are experts in CNR academic programs and offerings. The CNR SSC supports all CNR faculty, staff, and students in various capacities including advising, finding ways to get involved, graduation plans/checks, explaining differences between majors, minors, certificates, and career paths, summer field experience information, searching for summer jobs/internships, creating resumes, and much more.
Position Description:
We seek a diverse group of Peer Mentors to help the CNR SSC achieve its goal of assisting students to excel in their academics and career plans. The CNR SSC Peer Mentors are role models to all CNR students. Peer Mentors will assist with a variety of tasks that are academic, career, and administrative focused.
