JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Administrative Specialist, EOP Peer Mentors serve as EOP representatives, assisting current and prospective students, families, and guests. Positions with the EOP are excellent employment opportunities for students interested in developing professional and interpersonal skills. This position will develop skills in communication, customer service, and clerical skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Represent the EOF program in a positive, appropriate, and professional manner
  • Provide premier experience for current students and prospective students and their families.
  • Assist and greet walk-in current and prospective students and their families. 
  • Inform office staff via TEAMS of student appointments, visitors, etc.
  • Facilitate and encourage attendance at all EOF events. 
  • Assist students in developing an awareness of academic resources and opportunities, policies, and support services.
  • Record detailed information to disseminate to appropriate staff members in the event they are unavailable to take a call.
  • Distribute department mail.
  • Handle confidential material.
  • Occasional weekends may be required at Open Houses and Pirate Preview.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a current EOP student at Seton Hall University 
  • Be eligible for Federal Work Study
  • Be in good standing with the EOP
  • Minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.75
