The Peer Support / BHT works closely with the entire treatment team to provide high quality services to the clients we serve at Axiom Care. A Peer Support Specialist provides emotional, social, and practical support to individuals in recovery by sharing personal lived experience and offering guidance, encouragement, and advocacy.
The role promotes hope, recovery, and empowerment. Those in this role provide direct services 1:1 and group sessions. Peer and Recovery Support Specialists provide transportation, assist clients in navigating community resources, accompany individuals to appointments or services where needed, help reduce barriers to engagement in services. Indirect service includes attending clinical oversight, staffing, other meetings as needed, and completing all clinical documentation by the end of each shift.
