Compensation: $16/hr 

Benefits:
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. Overview:

Peer/Educator Par (Recovery Coach) This position will be responsible for conducting outreach and for engaging individuals and working closely with the program management to educate community stakeholders, and in the provision of ongoing recovery support. Peer Recovery Coaches will have lived experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Model, advocate, and promote Recovery.
  • Guide recoverees in recognizing and removing barriers to full engagement in recovery.
  • Use working knowledge of Community resources and how to guide recoverees in accessing them.
  • Identify strengths, social and personal interests, and goals to assist recoverees in exploring and developing a comprehensive wellness plan.
  • Support individuals in developing the accountability, knowledge, and skills necessary to attain, maintain, and grow recovery/ wellness capital.
  • Assist individuals in the development, improvement, and practice of activities for daily living.
  • Continuously grow knowledge of multiple pathways of recovery to better serve recoverees.
  • Collaborate with related health and community agencies as necessary.
  • Complete all necessary documentation (initial engagement, weekly reports, recoveree encounter forms, consents, etc..) in a timely fashion.
  • Meet with the recovery coach supervisor on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain consistent engagement with recoverees.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have lived recovery experience and identify as actively in recovery.
  • Complete/willingness to complete CCAR “Recovery Coach Academy” and related trainings.
  • Must have familiarity with general computer knowledge. (e.g., internet, word processing, email systems, etc.)
  • Must have or be working towards a high school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of the interface between mental health, medical, substance use disorder, care management, and related human service systems is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively work with teams and related systems.
  • A valid driver’s license, as well as reliable transportation, is favorable to reach participants effectively.
