DescriptionPosition Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervision and Education Coordinator implements, coordinates, supervises, and monitors the delivery of clinical supervision, consultation, training, and education to employees, agency staff, interns, and volunteers of Advantage.
Scheduled Hours:
Hours of operation typically follow traditional business hours. However, some training/education/consultation/ supervision may be planned and scheduled during non-traditional times to accommodate schedules of second and third shift staff.
Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards:

Practicum/Internship Program-assists the Clinical Supervision and Education Coordinator and other Clinical Supervision/Education Specialists to implement the practicum/internship program for Advantage
- Collaborates with the Clinical Supervision and Education Coordinator and the marketing committee to create informational packets for schools, colleges, universities and their students regarding practicums and internships, including those educating the paraprofessional and peer workforce.
- Ensuring procedures are current and amended, as needed, person/family-centered, and recovery focused.
- Provides training, support, and coaching to Advantage supervisors who have students on site.
- Communicate regularly with onsite supervisors regarding student performance.
- Provides consultation to internal and external customers/partners regarding practicum/internship processes.
- Ensuring processes are followed and aid in addressing issues.
- Documents training, supervision, and evaluations of students.

Clinical Supervision and Consultation-Coordinates/provides/monitors clinical consultation and supervision to agency staff, specifically paraprofessionals and peers.
- Assists the Clinical Supervision and Education Coordinator to provide clinical supervision, consultation, coaching, and support to all direct care staff, regardless of credentialling status.

Provides clinical supervision toward credentialling or to maintain credentialling
- Meets credentialling requirements to provide clinical supervision to staff working toward credentialling/certification/licensure
- Ensure that staff in clinical supervision are meeting requirements to become and/or maintain credentialling, including direct clinical service requirements.
- Documents consultation, supervision, coaching and support per agency standards and credentialling body requirements.
- Communicates concerns, or needs for additional training/support to administrative supervisors, as needed.
- Leads regularly scheduled Clinical Treatment Team Meetings for staffing clients with programs designated by Chief Clinical Officer. Uses these meetings to provide treatment support, coaching, and training.

Clinical Training/Education-Assists the Clinical Supervision and Education Coordinator to Coordinate/provide/monitor clinical training/education to staff
- Attends conferences and training to facilitate best practices in programs and enhance relationships with community partners, as assigned.

Helps review curriculum/psychoeducation and assist with training for implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Receives training as a train-the-trainer for evidence-based practices chosen by the Chief Clinical Officer and provides ongoing training.
- Helps develop and coordinate the agency’s training calendar to include in-house and invited training, focusing on paraprofessional and peer training.
- Help collect data on the effectiveness of clinical training and clinical training needs.
- Stays knowledgeable about guidelines and requirements that regulate provision of clinical services, including, but not limited to: DBHDD Utilization Guidelines, CARF, ASO requirements, DBHDD contractual obligations, DATEP/HFR regulations, Advantage policies and procedures, etc.

- Educates staff on Advantage expectations regarding work culture directly through supervision, training, consultation, and education and indirectly through role-modeling expectations.

Interviewing/Hiring/New Employee Training-In conjunction with the Clinical Supervision and Education Coordinator and Advantage’s Human Resources Department, may interview, and train clinical supervisors/educators.
- Provides initial onboarding/training to new staff and ongoing support and professional development of staff in clinical supervision/education roles through NEO and other training.

Supports through training and information other agency leaders who supervise paraprofessionals and peers.
- Coordinates with other division leaders and coordinators to schedule shadowing and onboarding opportunities for new staff as needed.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree with full independent license (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
- Strong clinical skills (including knowledge of diagnostic impressions/criteria, crisis interventions, individual and group therapy techniques, various therapeutic models for treatment, etc.)
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Moderate to high proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of different levels of care and ability to identify appropriate services based on client needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Meets requirements of credentialling board to provide clinical supervision.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to monitor/supervise staff in remote locations.
- Computer skills - ability to use an electronic health record and to document accurately same day as service.
- Ability to work independently while still meeting defined benchmarks.
