We offer an extra $0.75/ hr shift differential for the evening shift and $1.50 for overnight shift. This position allows for a great work-life balance. However, you must be flexible to work weekends.
Center for Community Resources is seeking a Crisis Advocate to support mental health crisis intervention services for eligible consumers, as defined by DPW Title 55 Code Chapter 5240. This position works as part of a collaborative team alongside Crisis Intervention Specialists to provide timely, compassionate, and effective crisis response services.
The starting salary for this position is $17.00/hr. We also offer a possible higher salary based on experience.
Essential Functions
· Provide Crisis Team Mobile Support as an advocate with Crisis Intervention Specialists.
· Complete outreach and collaboration meeting with community providers and emergency services.
· Support Interim Housing individuals.
· Assist Crisis Intervention Specialists with all Crisis services lines when suitable.
· Completion of safety assessments with NSPL assessment tool and safety planning when applicable.
· Complete all reports and documentation in a timely fashion.
· Facilitate service coordination with community services involved along with interagency resources.
· Maintain quality standards.
· Participates in continuous professional development.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Maintained full-time, part-time, or voluntary work experience in the past 12 months AND have a lived experience with a mental health disorder and have maintained two years of stability while living with a mental health diagnosis.
CPS Certification required.
Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply. EOE/ADA
