AMHC is looking for a full-time Family Peer Support Specialist candidate who will be a vital member of the Children’s Behavioral Health Home team.
You will provide compassionate, peer-based support to families and caregivers of children and youth experiencing behavioral health challenges.
Drawing on lived experience, this role helps families navigate complex systems, access resources, build advocacy skills, and feel empowered throughout the recovery journey.
This position requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of lived experience in parenting or in a parenting role (meaning biological parent, caregiver, foster parent, or grandparent) with at least one child/youth who lived with the applicant for 3 or more years who is receiving or has received services and support related to the diagnosis of a mental illness, and who is willing to self-identify
