SUMMARY
The Parent/Caregiver Peer Advocate will provide peer-to-peer support, advocacy, resource information and self-help services as part of a multi-disciplinary team to clients with Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health and co-occurring disorders in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. The position is for a Parent/ Caregiver Peer Advocate who has ‘lived experience’ as the parent (biological, foster, adoptive) or primary caregiver of a child/youth with a social, emotional, behavioral, mental health, or developmental disability) They receive training to develop skills and strategies to empower and support other families. They foster effective parent-professional partnership and promote the practice of family-driven and youth-guided approaches.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
Preferred: Prior work experience in peer support activities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain a valid Driver’s License, as specified in the personnel policies.
