DescriptionThe Peer Recovery Support Services staff is responsible for working with the counselors, community and clients to assist in the development of natural supports for individuals in recovery.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 or more years of sobriety required, preference given to recovery from opioids or stimulants preferred
- Willing and able to share your personal story of recovery to assist clients and the community
General Qualifications
- Willing and able to obtain Peer Recovery Support Services credentials from Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services within 6 months of hire
- Required to be HIPAA and Privacy Act Trained, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Must be able to seek out community resources and share them with clients
- Must be a team player with strong diplomacy skills and conflict management abilities
- Requires a high level of personal integrity, ethics, and problem solving skills
- Requires an ability to speak to community members about the goals/objectives of the grant
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or within 90 days of hire,
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles
