JOB SUMMARY

The Recovery Support Coordinator is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to staff through the daily operation of the program; coordinates all activities of the program and assists the Program Director in other assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists.  An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Coordinator performs an integral role in carrying out the mission of The Counseling Center, Inc., by performing the following duties:

  1. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program.  Plans and organizes the implementation of services relating to the program.  Ensures proper coverage of program and continuity of operation.
  2. Provides direct line administrative supervision of the program and staff.  Obtains maximum utilization of staff by clearly defining duties, establishing performance standards, and conducting performance reviews of subordinates.
  3. Maintains quality control measures and monitors work quality for compliance with standards.  Trains staff in appropriate documentation and record keeping.  Monitors the need for professional development of staff.      

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc.

  1. Covers duties of any absent employee; schedules replacement or personally performs duties in order to ensure continuity of care.
  2. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of alcoholism and chemical dependency
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of working with confidential materials and situations
  3. Ability in the areas of effective communication and  interpersonal skills with clients, co-workers, and community partners
  4. Ability to complete all documentation in accordance with agency policy
  5. Effective time management/organizational skills


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum two years experience in the field of Recovery Support and or addictions treatment
  2. Minimum of Associates Degree in Social Services or related field , Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field preferred
  3. Valid Ohio Drivers License and ability to maintain insurability
  4. Maintains applicable agency trainings
