Recovery Support Specialist

The Hansen Foundation is currently seeking Part-Time Recovery Support Specialists to join our team and contribute to the well-being and success of our residents. Our recovery residences are committed to providing a supportive and healing environment for individuals on their journey to recovery. Our mission is to empower our residents through compassion, guidance, and a structured program that fosters independence, resilience, and personal growth.

Position Summary: As a Part-Time Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our recovery residence, working directly with residents in various stages of recovery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitate orientation for new residents, introducing them to the program’s policies, resources, and community.
• Conduct regular and random drug testing to ensure compliance with our program’s standards.
• Provide transportation for residents to and from appointments, grocery store, job searching, medical appointments and other necessary destinations.
• Monitor the safety and cleanliness of the residence, promptly addressing any concerns or hazards.
• Act as a liaison between residents and staff, communicating needs, progress, and concerns effectively.
• Encourage and model positive behavior and a supportive community environment.
• Assist with conflict resolution and crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a recovery residence, social services, or a similar supportive role preferred.
• Understanding of addiction recovery processes and a compassionate approach to those in recovery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries in a residential setting.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
